If you want to have an idea of ​​the most beautiful and classic tours of Abruzzo, maybe this is the program for you! A long weekend, from Friday to sunday, three trips on three mountains symbol of the Region: the "high crossing" passing through the highest peak of the Apennines, the Corno Grande (2912 m), the "rava della Giumenta bianca" in the Maiella to reach the summit of Mount Amaro (descent of 1600 m) and, finally, the channel "Maiori" to Sirente

Program

• 1st Day
  Meeting point in Fonte Cerreto, at the start of the Campo Imperatore cableway, and ascent by cable car to start the climb to the Western Peak of Corno Grande 2912m to descend from the summit towards Prati di Tivo.
  Ascent gap: 800 m.
  Descent gap: 1300 m.
  Return to the minibus and transfer to Calascio for the night.
• 2nd Day
  Transfer to Passo S.Leonardo in the Maiella to make the ascent to Mount Amaro along the "Rava della Giumenta Bianca" or the Direttissima.
  Ascent gap: 1400 m.
  Descent gap: 1400 m.
  Return to Calascio for the night.
• 3rd Day
  Transfer to Rocca di Mezzo to reach the base of the Maiori gorge, ascent to Mount Sirente for the aforementioned gorge.
  Ascent gap: ca. 1000 m.
  Descent gap: ca. 1000 m.
  Return to the machines and afternoon snack at the best pastry shop in Rocca di Mezzo, to greet us.

Technical requirements
It requires a good technique of climbing with the ski skins and off-piste ski, as well as a good training to make trips of 1400m in altitude.
The program can be modified or interrupted by the mountain guide due to the insufficient technical level of the participants or for meteorological reasons.

Equipment

• Complete ski touring set (skis with ski mountaineering bindings, skialp boots, skins suitable for your skis, ...)
• Ice ax (max length 60 cm)
• classic anti-bot crampons

Clothing:

• Sunglasses for high mountain / glacier
• Cap
• Buff – Foulard
• High mountain gloves
• Breathable T-shirt
• Fiber turtleneck sweater
• Windstopper or fleece jacket
• Waterproof jacket (ex: Gore-tex, pac-lite, conduit…)
• Mountain pants in schoeller
• Mountain socks

Inside the backpack [30/40 lt maximum]:

• One fiber T-shirt
• Thermal pants
• A pair of mountain socks
• Ski mask
• Extra light gloves
• A headlamp with new batteries
• Personal pharmacy kit (compeed patch, aspirin, high protection sunscreen, ...)
• Waterproof overpants (ex: Gore-tex, pac lite, conduit, k-way)
• Camera
• 1 lt bottle or Thermos
• Paper towels
• Sleeping bag liner

Obviously small suitcase with a spare to stay in the city and the necessary for personal hygiene.

In case of modification of the itinerary due to causes external to the organization (adverse weather conditions, technical level of the participants, etc.) the unforeseen expenses will be debited to the participants.
