We will leave together for an easy excursion to the edge of the Campo Imperatore upland, wandering through valleys and groves for a walk with wide views across the Gran Sasso chain. Path with departure and arrival at the same point of the plateau that we will decide depending on the snowfall, but indicatively in the "wood of Codorama" near the former San Francesco Refuge.
A walk in a spectacular scenery that will give us charge, optimism and energy to face the new year!

Program

• 31 December 2017- San Silvestro Day
  Appointment: 09.00 in the square of Castel del Monte (near the fountain) from where we will move with the car to the starting point of the excursion. Indicative return at 13.30.

• 1 January 2018 - New Year Day
  A GREAT REQUEST, WE REPLY THE MORNING OF THE FIRST OF THE YEAR.
  
  Appointment: 10:30 Santo Stefano di Sessanio at the pond (in front of the "Locanda sul lago").
  We will move towards the Campo Imperatore upland for an easy hike without major height gap that we will decide at the moment based on the snow. We probably arrive by car near Lake Racollo and we move from there towards the ruins of the Grancia di S. M. del Monte.
  Expected return a Santo Stefano at 14.30

Technical requirements
Sufficient training for walking in the mountains is required.
The program can be modified or interrupted by the guide due to the insufficient technical level of the participants or for meteorological reasons.
In case of total or partial absence of snow, the excursion will be carried out without snowshoes.
